CHIANG MAI, October 5, 2026 — Doi Suthep–Pui National Park has temporarily closed Mae Sa Waterfall and Tat Mok Waterfall to visitors following heavy rainfall in the area.

Park officials said water levels at both waterfalls have risen significantly, with the water turning muddy red. The temporary closure is intended to protect visitors from potential risks caused by the increased water flow and changing conditions.

The waterfalls will remain closed until conditions return to normal. The park will issue a further announcement when the areas are safe to reopen.

Visitors are urged to follow instructions and safety advice from park officials and avoid entering the closed areas.
