PATHUM THANI, Thailand — October 7, 2026
Pathum Thani Immigration officers arrested two Cambodian nationals allegedly linked to the “BK Kun Khmer” foreign gang, following an investigation into foreign influence groups and suspected criminal activity in the province.
The operation was carried out under orders from senior Immigration Bureau officials to step up action against foreign criminal networks. Officers said they received information that members of the BK Kun Khmer group were hiding at a rental room inside Si Mum Mueang Market. Investigators identified two Cambodian men, identified as Khun, 31, and Sun, 30. Neither could produce a passport, and officers said their details could not be found in the immigration biometric system.
During questioning, Sun allegedly admitted to being a member of the BK Kun Khmer gang. He reportedly told officers that he had previously driven other members of the group to transport explosives used in an attack against a rival group known as the “Ratchada Gang.” Officers said other members had already been arrested.
Sun was initially charged with being a foreign national who entered and remained in Thailand without permission. He was handed over to investigators at Khukot Police Station for further legal proceedings.
Police Col. Parinya Klin Kesorn, spokesperson for Immigration Division 3, said the BK group had previously been associated with violent incidents involving conflicts with other foreign-worker groups in the area. Immigration officials said members had also been arrested in 2023 in connection with immigration and firearms-related offenses. Authorities urged the public to report information concerning suspected offenses involving foreign nationals to Immigration Police at hotline 1178 during official hours.
