CHIANG MAI, Thailand — October 5, 2026 — Chiang Mai Provincial Police have raided 10 rooms at a housing complex in San Phisuea district following an investigation into an alleged online gambling network linked to the website “ufun168th.org.” Police arrested 15 suspects and seized 36 items of electronic equipment, along with 60,000 baht in cash.
The operation was carried out by Chiang Mai police investigators and Mae Ping Police Station under search warrants issued by the Chiang Mai Municipal Court on October 5. The suspects included six men and nine women. Seized items included laptops, mobile phones and other electronic devices.
Police said digital evidence indicated that the suspects allegedly worked in marketing and advertising for the online gambling website, using numerous fake Facebook accounts to post promotional content and encourage people to gamble. Investigators also found a backend management system containing deposit and withdrawal records, member information and daily and annual profit figures. The system reportedly showed more than 100 million baht in transactions.
During preliminary questioning, the suspects reportedly admitted working in online gambling marketing for around 18,000 baht per month. They allegedly previously performed similar work in Poipet, Cambodia, before moving their operations to Chiang Mai about two months ago. Police said they used a LINE group called “Green Tea Team” to communicate and receive work instructions.
The suspects were charged with allegedly jointly organizing or facilitating unauthorized gambling and advertising or soliciting participation in online gambling through electronic media. They were taken, along with the seized evidence, to investigators at Mae Ping Police Station for further legal proceedings. Police urged the public to avoid involvement with unauthorized online gambling networks and to report suspected illegal activity to authorities.
